ASOIU joins the European Union's "WORK4CE" project

 

 

 

 

An online kick-off meeting of "WORK4CE" project funded by the European Union with the membership of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) was held on February 2.

 

The meeting was attended by ASOIU's Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, Ulviya Abbasova, deputy vice-rector for International Relations Ulviya Abbasova and Leyla Nagiyeva, Coordinator for International Projects Leyla Nagiyeva.

 

At the meeting other international participants of the project also made a speech, exchanged views on the project, discussed the commitments of the participants and further necessary steps.

 

Notably, the member countries of the Work4CE project are Germany, Belgium, Spain, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The main purpose of the project is to develop new forms of university-enterprise cooperation in the digital age in order to improve the employment of students and graduates. Another goal of the project is to develop new business-related opportunities for digital transformation management through the application of a successful collaborative production approach by lecturers, industry professionals and members of professional associations. This approach aims to remove the gap between universities and industry in partner countries.

 

ASOIU attends a working meeting within the framework of the "WORK4CE" project

 

 

On October 11-12, with the organization of the project coordinator Fachhochschule Dortmund University, a working meeting was held within the "WORK4CE" project, that the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) is a participant.

 

The meeting was attended by an advisor to the ASOIU's Rector on IT and technology, Rasim Abdullaev, Coordinator for International Projects, Leyla Nagiyeva, head of the Department "Computer Engineering", Nazila Ragimova, as well as teachers of this department Yashar Hajiyev and Ilgar Rzayev.

 

At the meeting, other international participants of the project also made a speech, exchanged views on the project, discussed the commitments of the participants and further necessary steps.

ASOIU participates in international training within the framework of the Erasmus + project

 

 

 

 

 

On November 15-19, within the framework of the Erasmus + project for teachers of the Dortmund University in Germany, a week of training on European partnership in the field of project management and innovations was held. Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) was presented as a WORK4CE Erasmus + project participant at the international training.

 

Rector's advisor for İT and İnnovation Rasim Abdullaev, professors of the Computer Engineering Department Yashar Hajiyev and Ilgar Rzayev, took part in the "T4T" training organized by the Dortmund University in the framework of the Erasmus + project.

 

During the training, participants were introduced to agile project management and the use of Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Teams, as well as ideas for the joint creation of Open Practice Communities, were proposed. WORK4CE project colleagues from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Palestine, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Kazakhstan and Germany took part in the training to exchange knowledge and experience.

 

 

 

ASOIU employees take part in the T4T training week in Spain

 

 

 

On March 7-11, employees of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) took part in the T4T (Train-the-Trainer) international training week, held as part of the Work4CE Erasmus + project in Bilbao, Spain. The training was attended by Rasim Abdullayev, Rector's advisor for IT and İnnovation, Computer Science Department Professors Yashar Hajiyev and Ilgar Rzayev.

The event, with the participation of ASOIU representatives, was organized by the University of the Basque Country (Universidad del Pais Vasco - UPV) and, in particular, by its Faculty of Engineering. It should be noted that the project, which began in 2020 and will last until November 2023, requires the training of specialists with the knowledge and skills necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution ("Industry 4.0"), especially with digital skills ("Workforce 4.0") and trained by the dynamics of the labour market in various specialities ("Workforce 4.0").
