Dear employees and students of ASOIU!
From May 1, the requirement to wear medical masks in university buildings is cancelled.
Under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Operational Headquarters adopted a resolution "On additional measures to remove certain restrictions in the special quarantine regime." According to the decision, from May 1, 2022, the requirement to use personal protective equipment (medical mask, fabric mask, respirator, etc.) under a special quarantine regime is cancelled. At the same time, the use of medical masks in educational institutions operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan is no longer mandatory but only recommended.
By the decisions taken by the Operational Headquarters in connection with the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the instructions of the Ministry of Education, part of the restrictions imposed at the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year are being removed at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Thus, the university's requirement to use personal protective equipment (medical mask, fabric mask, respirator, etc.) is cancelled. Also, to prevent overcrowding, the requirement to diversify by faculties' access to the university's administrative building is removed. From May 1, students and staff will have unlimited access to the traditional entrances and exits of the university.
