In 1988, he was admitted to the full-time department of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemical Institute.

 In 2007, he obtained the PhD in Technical Sciences, and in 2014, he earned the Doctor of Technical Sciences degree.

He authored 192 scientific works, 26 textbooks, teaching aids, and methodical guides, as well as 2 monographs.

PhD in Technical Sciences - 02.00.06 Chemistry of High Molecular Compounds. Topic: "Corrosion protective compositions based on modified phenol-formaldehyde and ethylene-propylene copolymers."

 Currently, he serves as the head of the department of "Technology of Organic Substances and High Molecular Compounds" and holds the position of professor.

He commenced his scientific career in 1999 as an engineer and later as an assistant at the Department of "Technology of High Molecular Weight Compounds" at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. From 2006 to 2016, he served as the head of the centralized laboratory "Methods of Physical and Chemical Analysis" at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. Since 2015, he has held the position of professor in the "Technology of Organic Substances and High Molecular Compounds" department at the university, and since 2016, he has been the head of that department.

In 2010, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, he was awarded the "TƏRƏQQİ" medal by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

In 2020, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of ASOIU, he was bestowed with the honorary title of "Honored Teacher" by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
