In 1985 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of “heat engineering” of the Azerbaijan Institute of oil and Chemistry (now ASOIU) with a degree in “industrial heat power engineering”.

Industrial Thermal Power Engineering.Gas turbine technologies. Thermal power plants. Renewable energy technologies. Theoretical foundations of heating techniques. Thermal physical properties of petroleum products.Intensification of heat exchange in oil and oil refining equipment.

Work experience

Since 1990 he was elected as a junior researcher at the Department of ” industrial heat power engineering and water technology“ of ASOIU, since 1991-as a researcher at the” physics of oils and thermodynamics of crisis " SRL, and in 1994-as a senior researcher. Since 1994, he has been working as an associate professor at the Department of “Thermal Power Engineering”(current energy production technologies). At the department conducts classes on Bachelor and master's degree in specialty subjects.                                                                                                       

By order of asoiu № 4-813 “05” September 2018, Associate   Professor Shukur Nariman Oglu Nasirov temporarily held the position of head of the Department of “Thermal Power Engineering” on public grounds until December 28, 2018. 

Associate professor Shukur Nariman Oglu Nasirov has been the head of the department at the Department of “energy production technologies” since 2021.

Since 2005, chairman of the student Scientific Society of the faculty. Member of the Academic Council of the Faculty of energy since 2018.Since 2019, member of the dissertation Council under ASOIU ED2.04, scientific secretary of the dissertation Council.Since 2023, member of the dissertation Council under ASOIU ED2.02.Member of the Scientific Council of ASOIU since 2021.

By order of the minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated may 8, 2021 K - 438, he was awarded the Jubilee Medal of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan state oil and Industry University.
