Good Health and Well Being has always been a top priority in ASOIU

Leukameia is a blood cell cancer produced in bone marrow cells. Although not wide-spread, there are cases of leukameia around population which vary statistically by seasons. Many research works have been produced to understand the dynamics of leukameia. The increase of morbidity risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia is specific for Spring, Summer and Autumn are at the same degree (A. Bagirov). The seasonal risks of acute lymphoblastic leukemia morbidity are not universal. They change depending on conditions of the year.

As mentioned in the Sustainability Plan of ASOIU, the university looks at all SDGs as a holistic process taken as a whole. Driven by "Fight against Leukaemia" motto Public Union volunteers met with ASOIU students. In the meeting the vice rector of ASOIU for Educational Affairs mentioned the importance of organizing actionable events to support every aspect of society, including members of young and old generation who suffer from leukameia. The vice-rector mentioned that educating young people, caring for them and helping them grow good-natured helps build a higher society which serve as early seeds for inclusiveness and sustainability. As part of commitment to SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being volunteers among university faculty and students have freely provided blood donations to the blood bank to help patients fight with leukameia.
