On May 17, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with students jointly organised by the "Fight against Leukaemia" Public Union and the University.
Associate Professor Ata Babayev, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, welcomed event participants on behalf of rector Mustafa Babanli. Then, Ata Babayev, the Vice-Rector, spoke about the importance of holding such meetings, which combine such serious goals as educating young people, caring and good-natured. Noting the importance of this meeting for students, Ata Babayev reminded young people that health is essential to be a decent, good citizen and a helpful person and informed them about the benefits of constant attention to the mission of goodness.
Video plots were presented at the meeting, attended by volunteers of the "Fight against Leukaemia" PU and ASOIU students. Then the volunteers of the Union - Dilshad Azizli, Jeyhun Asgarov, Ilham Mammadzade and Fidan Imamguliyeva - shared their impressions of the meeting with people suffering from leukaemia. Young people talked about why they are "volunteers" and noted that each support is an excellent motivation for such people, children and their parents.
In the end, students' questions on the subject were answered, and Vice-rector Ata Babayev presented certificates of Appreciation to the Volunteers of the Public Union on behalf of the University.
