About CT

The chemical Technologies department was established in 1921 under the name of Petroleum department. In 1934 it started operating as Petroleum Technology department. Since 1940 the department was renamed into Chemical Technologies.
We offer undergraduate programs under the following specializations:
050618 - "Chemical engineering"
050606 - "Ecological engineering"
050635 - "Food engineering"
060641 - Chemical Engineering (master)

Career Overview

Chemical engineers conceive and design processes involved in chemical manufacturing. The main role of chemical engineers is to design and troubleshoot processes to produce chemicals, fuels, foods, pharmaceuticals, and biologicals, to name just a few. They are most often employed by large-scale manufacturing plants to maximize productivity and product quality while minimizing costs.
