On October 16, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a training on "Modern scientific magazines: practice and theory".

At the training, Irina Tikhonkova, head of the editorial board of "Bipolymer and Cell" magazine, chief scientific specialist of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, made a presentation on "Modern scientific magazines: attributes, indicators, goals and perspectives." I.Tikhonkova gave practical recommendations on verifying scientific magazines, improving the quality and levels. He spoke about the conditions and criteria for magazines to access the Web of Science database. In addition, I. Tikhonkova underlined the classification of key scientific and technical indicators of scientific magazines and business models of scientific magazines.
