On October 17 Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Mongolian students Munksaikhan Munkbayar and Batsaikhan Munkharan studying at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU)within the framework of study grant for citizens of member states of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Greeting the guests, the minister Parviz Shahbazov expressed satisfaction with seeing them in Baku, spoke about the Mongolian-Azerbaijani relations, the meetings held at the level of the Ministries of Energy and Foreign Affairs economic relations, joint projects in the field of energy and forthcoming plans.
At the same time, expressing satisfaction with being in Baku, Mongolian students shared their views on university life, their education at baccalaureate level in ASOIU's faculty of Oil and Gas Production within the framework of the education grant.
Calling the Mongolian students an “ambassador,” the minister expressed confidence that their education in Azerbaijan would contribute to the strengthening of political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The employee of the International Students Dean's Office Emin Abdurahmanov noted that within the framework of the education grant of citizens of member states of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, along with ASOIU Mongolian students also study at baccalaureate, master and doctoral levels in Ecuador, Pakistan, Yemen, Kenya and Mozambique. He provided information on foreigners' training process, living conditions, efficient leisure time and other conducted work.
