On October 25, the rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli, met with Adil Garibov, chairman of the National Nuclear Research Center CJSC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
The meening was attended by the ASOIU's rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, chairman of the National Nuclear Research Center CJSC, academician Adil Garibov, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Science and Technology, Professor Rauf Aliyarov and other guests.
During the meeting, rector Mustafa Babanli provided comprehensive information about the university and underlined that numerous programs and new projects in connection with improving the quality of teaching and education are currently implemented and the results are satisfactory. He added that the first steps towards conducting the teaching in English at the university four years ago are now yielding results.
The university provides 24 specialties along with the Azerbaijani language and English. Academician Adil Garibov highlighted that ASOIU has a rich scientific base, and the alumni of this university are always distinguished by their knowledge and skills. He said that the educational reforms carried out here in recent years are satisfactory and the university has great opportunities for training highly qualified personnel. He emphasized that, along with the education community, AzII was accepted as an exemplary technical higher education institution by the community and regained its reputation. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the parties.
