On November 18 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the Rector of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Professor Sadraddin Turbajanov and director of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Gaffar Rahmanberdiyev.
Speaking about the educational ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the rector, Professor M. Babanli provided comprehensive information to the guests about the university. Speaking about reforms implemented at ASOIU, dual programs and international relations, the Rector, Professor M. Babanli expressed interest in new projects on student exchange and dual diplomas with Uzbekistan universities. Touching upon the importance of scientific cooperation, Rector M. Babanli evaluated the student exchange as the beginning of this collaboration.
Expressing his gratitute to the Rector, Professor M.Babanli for the hospitality and sincerity, the Rector of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Professor S.Turbajanov emphasized that cooperation is of particular importance for them in order to benefit from the ASOIU's experience and conduct joint student exchange.
Director of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology G.Rahmanberdiyev highlighted that they are interested in developing new programs jointly with ASOIU for the second higher education along with scientific and technical directions.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to sign a cooperation agreement. At the end, the guests presented a memorial gift to the Rector, Professor M. Babanli.
