On November 20, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the Rector of Tashkent State Technical University, Professor Sadraddin Turbajanov and the director of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology Gaffar Rahmanberdiyev.

Expressing gratitude to the Rector of Tashkent State Technical University, Professor S.Turbajanov for the interest in cooperation with ASOIU, Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli expressed his hope that the  cooperation will yield high results for both sides. Noting that Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relations are always based on friendship and cooperation, rector M. Babanli underlined that new friendship ties will also be established in higher education.

Expressing his pride of establishing cooperation ties with ASOIU, Rector of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Professor S.Turbajanov expressed confidence that new projects will yield positive results for both universities. S. Turbajanov said that the new cooperation agreement will not only lay the foundation of ties between universities but also friendship and cooperation in the field of higher education in both countries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides signed the memorandum of cooperation.
