On December 11, the presentation of the student ID cards of Strasbourg University to first-year students was held at Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) functioning under the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
The event was attended by the ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross, scientific expert of Strasbourg University in UFAZ Philippe Turek, Executive Director of UFAZ Vazeh Asgarov, UFAZ Secretary General Charlotte Payen, students and media representatives.
Before the presentation, the guests got acquainted with the stands which included the projects of UFAZ students and were provided with the information about the students' innovative projects.
Greeting the guests, UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov and Secretary General Charlotte Payen underlined that it is already fourth time to hold the presentation of student ID cards of the University of Strasbourg.
Rector M.Babanli said that the first-year students are now officially students of Strasbourg University and wished them success in their studies.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross underlined that they are ready to support for the development of UFAZ and to provide students with the high level of education.
Noting that they are satisfied with the knowledge and skills of UFAZ students, scientific expert of Strasbourg University in UFAZ Philippe Turek stressed that the first-year students are more experienced.
Later, a number of company officials delivereing lectures within the framework of the cooperation with UFAZ expressed their wishes to students and congratulated them. Togrul Babayev and Laman Jalilova, 2nd-year students of UFAZ spoke about the advantages of the education at UFAZ.
At the end, the students were presented the student ID cards of the University of Strasbourg.
Notably, 141 students were presented the student ID cards of the University of Strasbourg in the current year.
