ASOIU holds IV Startup and Innovation Festival

On December 14 the IV Startup and Innovation Festival was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, company directors, as well as academic staff and students of the university.

A video slide about the way that “eazi START” and Innovation Center passed and its achievements within 4 years was demonstrated at the festival.

Making a speech, ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli said that the university is always open for innovations and innovative young people, underlined the works carried out at the university in the startup area in the last 4 years and noted that the university always support young people who has innovative ideas. Speaking about the priority directions at ASOIU, Rector M. Babanli, noted the importance of training qualified personnel to support the development of science, as well as the training of young people who will be able to contribute to the modern industry and innovative movement.

Then, 5 projects selected by the jury based on predetermined criteria from 22 projects submitted by the students of "eazi Start" Startup and Innovation Center were presented at the IV Startup and Innovation Festival.

After the projects "Character Claud", "Interactive Nails", "Soilless Farming", "Reserve App" and "Teach me" were presented to the event attendees by the ASOIU's students, the winning projects were determined by jury.

Attending the event, Ukrainian startup specialist Lesya Lushenko gave her advice to young startups and made a speech on the startup project.

While the projects were evaluated by jury, the participants of the exhibition got acquainted with the projects of the "eazi START" Startup and Innovation Center in the corridor of the university. Later on, the highest scoring projects were awarded by ASOIU and partner organizations.

 According to the evaluation of jury, the winner of the first place was the "Teach me" project.
