 On December 19, the seminar on "Digital transformation of higher education" for teachers and administrative staff of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) with the organization of Microsoft Azerbaijan.

The seminar was attended by ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, UFAZ director, Associate Professor Vazeh Askerov, as well as heads of the other departments and sections.

Senior Solution Specialist for Education at Microsoft Oliver Zofic spoke about the importance of gaining new knowledge, new experiences and opportunities by taking advantage of technology in the rapid developing world. He made a broad presentation on digital transformation in education, Microsoft's existing cloud systems, as well as higher education opportunities and its solutions which is a key component of Microsoft's National Plan for Azerbaijan.

Rector Mustafa Babanli expressed his views on ASOIU's digital transformation experience and project.

Then Emin Akhundov, the coordinator for the training program of the company spoke about the Microsoft’s main tools and noted that ASOIU is more experienced than other universities in this direction and expressed their desire to further expand its existing cooperation with the university.

 Notably, the purpose of the event is to demonstrate and deliver the tools and approaches to the universities meeting the requirements of the labor market.
