The VII Alumni-Career Exhibition held at ASOIU were attended by 89 companies

On December 21, the VII Alumni-Career Exhibition held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The exhibition was attended by 86 state and private companies, as well as the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Defense Industry, Food Safety Agency, SOCAR, "Azerenerji" OJSC, "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, "Baku Metro" LLC, SOCAR Fugro, SOCAR AQS, "Azerikimiya" PU, Sumgait Technology Park, AzerGold CJSC, Aztelecom LLC, Azercell and others. In total, 629 job vacancies and 321 places for internships were offered to ASOIU students and graduates.

Welcoming the participants of the exhibition, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, said that the Graduate Career Exhibition, traditionally held at the university, plays an important role in providing students and graduates with job and expands opportunities to undertake internship. According to him, Alumni-Career Exhibitions are a good platform for alumni and employers to build mutually beneficial cooperation, and there is no doubt that further steps will be taken to improve the format of the exhibition. Noting that the active participation of state bodies and companies in the Alumni-Career Exhibition held at ASOIU is the indicator of employers' confidence in the knowledge and the skills of the graduates, Rector Mustafa Babanli emphasized that training of highly qualified personnel for the national economy and industry is a priority for the university and expressed his gratitude to all company representatives who attended the exhibition.

At the opening ceremony, Kamala Alishova, Senior Specialist on HR at SOCAR, and Maxim Afanasyev, Director of AKBIS LLC, spoke about internship programs and the importance of graduate and career. They have highly appreciated the VII Alumni-Career Exhibition held at ASOIU. They underlined that the organization of such exhibition is an important opportunity for students. Then the rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, the Vice-Rectors, the chairman of the "AzII Alumni" PU Haji Nuran Huseynov got acquainted with the stands of the organizations participating in the exhibition. Representatives of the company provided information to the Rector M. Babanli about offered vacancies and internship programs.

2034 CVs were presented to the company representatives by ASOIU's students and graduates at the exhibition which lasted from 10:00 to 12:00.
