ASOIU signs an agreement on master of science degree program with Zicklin School of Business

The agreement on master of science degree program was signed between Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Zicklin School of Business at Baruch Collage of the City University of New York.

On January 7, Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Innovation of Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York, Dr. Qing Hu.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the dual degree program in finance. The exchange of views was conducted on the specialty that the program to be applied, admission and selection rules, as well as opportunities to be created for students and partners' commitment. At the meeting, it was emphasized that the program is intended for a master's degree in economics and management.

It was noted that, the students who will continue their study in master's degree on the specialty of economics and management at ASOIU will be able to receive diploma of both universities by continuing their first year of study at Zicklin School of Business at Baruch Collage of City University of the New York.

Recall that, the cooperation between ASOIU and Zicklin School of Business at Baruch Collage of the City University of New York has begun since 2018. On November 2019, a delegation from City University of New York visited Azerbaijan and got acquainted with the teaching at ASOIU. Within the framework of that visit the sides discussed signing of a cooperation agreement between Zicklin School of Business and ASOIU in three specialties (MS in Finance (MSF), MS in Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS), MS in Master of Science in Marketing (MSM).

Notably, Zicklin School of Business founded in 1919, is one of the oldest business schools in the world and has become one of the most prestigious business schools in the United States. Zicklin School of Business is the only structural unit of the City University of New York accredited by AACSB (International Association for Management Education)
