On February 25, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held an event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
The event was attended by the ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, vice-rectors, deans as well as parents and students from Khojaly.
Opening the event, ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli spoke about the crimes committed by Armenians in different periods of history and the horrors of the Khojaly genocide. He said the terrible genocide committed against civilians in Khojaly was a crime against humanity all over the world.
Later, witnesses of the Khojaly genocide spoke about the tragic events, the horrors committed against their families and relatives and shared their painful memories took place 28 years ago. Within the framework of the event the commemorative feast has been given to the memory of people who lost their lives in the Khojaly tragedy.
