ASOIU holds the Second International Scientific-Practical Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the university

The International Scientific-Practical Conference on “Modern Information, Measurement and Control Systems: Problems and Perspectives, MIMCS’2020” jointly organized by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the University of Burgogne-Franche-Comté in France dedicated to the 100th anniversary of ASOIU was held on December 7-8.

The online video conference was attended by local organizations, scientists and professors, as well as heads of universities, world-renowned scientists and professors from about 20 countries.

Notably, the first conference dedicated to the same topic was organized on July 1-2, 2019 at ASOIU with the participation of representatives of a number of countries. The speeches of the participants were published in the conference materials as a collection of theses and articles.

Making a speech at the opening ceremony of the II International Scientific-Practical Conference, ASOIU's Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated everyone on the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army. He noted that ASOIU as a university marked its 100th anniversary in 2020. Azerbaijan's glorious victory has made our 100th anniversary even more significant. Later on, Rector M. Babanli spoke about the importance of the conference. He underlined that the organization of such conferences is very important in terms of expanding scientific activities and developing relations. The Rector expressed his gratitude to the conference organizers and wished success to the participants.

Reports on Innovative technologies in engineering and social sciences, Computer networks, Telecommunication technologies, Information protection methods and tools, Information security, Cyber security, Advanced information technologies in the field of measurement and control, Intelligent information systems, sensors and measurement systems, Integrated control systems, Artificial intelligence were heard and discussions were held at the conference.

Providing information to the attendees about the conference, head of the ASOIU’s department of "Instrument Engineering", doctor of technical sciences Lala Bakirova stressed that about 500 materials were submitted to the conference. These materials were accepted in the form of theses and articles. Selected articles (pages 4-8) will be published in prestigious journals after appropriate research.

The two-day conference continued with interesting scientific discussions and reports.
