On July 6, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the  Vladimir Onishenko, Rector of Poltava National Technical University named after Yuri Kondratyuk, Ukraine.

The meeting featured the discussion on the cooperation between the universities, new directions and perspectives, as well as student exchange and other topics.

ASOIU's Rector Professor M. Babanli presented "Jubilee medal of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (1920-2020)" to V. Onishenko for his services in establishing close cooperation with the university.

Notably, according the decree dated December 26, 2020 President Ilham Aliyev approved amendments to the law "On the establishment of orders and medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan" in connection with the establishment of the anniversary medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the amendment, the "Jubilee medal of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (1920-2020)" was established. The jubilee medal of Azerbaijan Republic is presented to the employees of the body appointed by the relevant executive authority, including former employees, veterans, graduates, who have achieved high achievements in science, education, and oil and industry, made a notable contribution to developing these fields, participated in socio-cultural development, as well as citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, foreigners and stateless persons who have rendered special services in the implementation of state policy in the field of science, education and international cooperation and in the development of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
