On August 12, the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli attended the traditional startup festival "Sikorsky Challenge 2021" (Sikorsky Challenge) organized by the National Technical University of Ukraine in Kiev. Making a speech at the opening ceremony of the festival, Rector M.Babanli provided information on the close cooperation between ASOIU and the National Technical University of Ukraine and the Institute of Information Technology and Education functioning under the university, the success of the "eazi Start" Startup and Innovation Center, which has been operating for more than five years as a result of this cooperation. He noted that the presentations on 4 out of 7 projects submitted to the "Sikorsky Challenge 2021" festival will be held within the framework of the festival. Rector, Professor M.Babanli expressed his gratitude to the Professor Inna Malyukova , Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Information Technologies in Education, head of the Sikorsky Challenge Center and Business incubator for her contribution to the establishment of a startup school at ASOIU, as well as for her support in training specialists in the field of innovation and transfer technologies.ASOIU's Rector, Professor M.Babanli presented the "Jubilee medal of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (1920-2020)" to Inna Malyukova on behalf of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for her services in establishing close cooperation with the university. On the first day of the "Sikorsky Challenge 2021" festival, ASOIU's Rector M.Babanli within the framework of the event met with rectors of Ukrainian universities. During the meeting with the Rector of Poltava National Technical University named after Yuri Kondratyuk Vladimir Onishenko the issues of developing cooperation between the two universities were discussed. Notably, the "Sikorsky Challenge 2021" festival will end on August 14.
