On September 1, at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), an entrance exam was held for candidates under the program Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science, who successfully passed the exam in a foreign language.

50 candidates from ASOIU took part in the exam in philosophy. During the exam, the Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli came to the auditorium where the exam was held, recommended that candidates be attentive and responsible in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and wished success to each of them.

According to the relevant order of the Ministry of Education, in the 3-day examination in philosophy, along with ASOIU, candidates from 5 higher educational institutions - Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Sumgait State University, and Baku Engineering University. Exams in the specialty will be held on September 9-10.

The results of the exam, conducted in a transparent environment, were evaluated by a commission of 8 people. As the exam coincided with the period of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, preventive disinfection measures were carried out. The examination process was carried out taking into account all the necessary instructions to prevent the spread of the disease. Medical masks and disinfectants were used and social distance has been expected among the participants.

Notably that the entrance examinations for doctoral studies in philosophy will be held on the following days - September 2 and 3. According to the relevant order of the Ministry of Education, this time 68 candidates registered at the Azerbaijan State Economic University who have successfully passed the first stage of the entrance exam for doctoral studies (scored more than 25 points in a foreign language) will take an exam in philosophy at Sumgait State University and Baku Engineering University.
