The entrance exam for candidates under the Ph.D. program who successfully passed the foreign language exam held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University(ASOIU) has been completed.
According to the relevant order of the Ministry of Education, 118 applicants from 5 higher education institutions - Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Sumgayit State University, and Baku Engineering University have registered in the exam on philosophy. 108 applicants took part in the 2-day entrance exam.
The results of the exam, conducted in a transparent environment, were evaluated by a commission of 8 people. Candidates who scored 26 points or more advanced to the next stage. Thus, out of 118 candidates who had to pass the exam, results from 89 were admissible ASOIU (50 people), UNEC (40 people), AzTU (15 people), AUAC (3 people), SSU (5 people), BEU (5 people), 19 were found inadmissible. 11 out of 50 ASOIU candidates, 7 out of 40 UNEC candidates, 1 out of 5 candidates for BIU received an unacceptable assessment. 1 candidate from ASOIU and 9 candidates from UNEC did not take part in the exam.
Notably, as the exam coincided with the period of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, preventive disinfection measures were carried out. The examination process was carried out taking into account all the necessary instructions to prevent the spread of the disease. Medical masks and disinfectants were used and social distance has been expected among the participants.
