On October 20, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Algeria Salima Abdelhak.

Rector M. Babanli stressed that he was glad to welcome the guest within the university's walls and spoke about the university's activities, international students, international cooperation, and upcoming projects. Noting that ASOIU maintains cooperation with Algerian higher educational institutions, Rector M. Babanli informed about Algerian graduates of ASOIU and Azerbaijani teachers working at the Petroleum Institute in the city of Boumerdes.

Expressing her satisfaction at being at one of the country's leading universities in the field of higher education, Ambassador Abdelhak praised the Algerian graduates of ASOIU and pledged to support the restoration of cooperation with her country.

Then the parties exchanged views on possible prospects for cooperation in the field of higher education.
