On October 21, a seminar on new criteria, basics, and accreditation application in education was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Asiman Ilyasov, Head of the training and methodology department of the Education Quality Assurance Agency (EQAA), introduced the participants to the basic concepts, new rules and the importance of accreditation in the development of education and other issues. Noting that accreditation is one of the main criteria for development at all levels of education today, Ilyasov said that currently, the most widespread institutional and program accreditation in the world is widely used in education. He compared the new accreditation criteria with the old rules, conducted a thorough analysis and talked about the benefits of the new accreditation. At the end of the meeting, academic staff received answers to their questions.
