On December 8, at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), the world-famous scientist, full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, was awarded the diploma of the honorary doctor of ASOIU.
Note that the decision to award the honorary title was made in October. Still, the diploma was presented to the owner today at the next meeting of the ASOIU Academic Board, personally attended by Janusz Kacprzyk.
Speaking at the meeting of the Academic Board, the Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, on behalf of the Academic Board and the university, thanked world-class scientist Janusz Kacprzyk for accepting the invitation to come to our country and ASOIU. He noted that Janusz Kacprzyk is an honorary Professor in Poland and several leading universities globally. The universities to which the Professor was invited have achieved great success, taking advantage of his experience.
Speaking about the importance of cooperation with Janusz Kacprzyk, a scientist contributing to world science and education, the Rector said that thanks to these valuable contacts, we would continue to cooperate with leading universities in Poland and create new development prospects.
At the meeting, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Latafat Gardashova, informing the council members about the education and academic degrees of Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, noted that he is the editor of two journals that are listed in the international databases "Web of Science" and "Scopus".
He is also editor-in-chief of eight books in Springer and has participated in over 300 international conferences.
Professor Janusz Kacprzyk, a full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is a visiting professor at universities in the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico and Italy.
After Rector Mustafa Babanli presented the ASOIU diploma of Honorary Doctor, Professor Janusz Kacprzyk spoke about the development of world science, the importance of artificial intelligence and new goals in science.
In conclusion, answering the questions of the members of the Academic Board, the Professor thanked Rector Mustafa Babanli and the members of the board for the honorary title and attention paid to him.
It should be noted that the world-famous scientist Janusz Kacprzyk met with the Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, for two days and got acquainted with the university. He visited the ASOIU Laser Center, the Department of Higher Mathematics, the History Museum of ASOIU, the Museum of Mineralogy, and modern auditoriums equipped with new equipment, Azİİ e-Book House, Kapital Bank room and Lukoil corner. The Professor also met with the Director of BA programs of ASOIU, doctor of technical sciences Rafig Aliyev. The meeting discussed the prospects for scientific experiments and research.
Within the visit framework, Professor J. Kacprzyk also visited the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) under ASOIU. The guest inspected the UFAZ laboratories, got acquainted with the classrooms, the library and the material and technical base of the university. During the meeting with the Executive Director of UFAZ, Associate Professor Vazekh Askerov and General Secretary Elizaveta Bydanova, they exchanged views on the structure, educational process, specialities and cooperation of UFAZ.
