On December 10, the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

After the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, said that Azerbaijan's modern history is associated with the name of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Noting that the memory of the great leader will always live in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people, Rector Babanli spoke about the invaluable and unforgettable merits of the national leader in the history of the Azerbaijani state and statehood.

Head of the Humanities Department of ASOIU, Professor Jamal Mustafayev, spoke about the extraordinary personality of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev, his rich experience of statehood, noting that today's development of the republic is connected with the name of this genius.

Then the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater artists presented the literary and artistic composition based on the national poet Zelimkhan Yagub “Böyük ömrün dastanı”.
