Students' questions are answered at the "Open Microphone" held at ASOIU

On December 11, an "Open Microphone" was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Along with the students and faculty who attended the assembly hall, ''Open Microphone'' was also broadcast live on the university's Facebook page, and hundreds of students joined the event online.

On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, on the "Open Microphone", were honoured the souls of the heroes who died for the Motherland and national leader Heydar Aliyev with a minute of silence.

ASOIU Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the state of education and training at the university, preparation for the winter examination session, double and additional diploma programs, specialities subject to accreditation, achievements, future goals and future work. Speaking about the Student Educational Loan (SEL), the Rector said that work in this direction is nearing completion. He noted that the SEL is a widespread system in many countries globally, and its implementation will open up new opportunities for students.

Rector Mustafa Babanli, touching upon the issue of the health of academic staff and students, said that the university has taken preventive measures to combat COVID-19 and that the state of teaching is satisfactory by the current situation.

Then the director of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing of the University, Bahruz Nazarov, informed about the XI Alumni-Career Exhibition, held online on December 23. He spoke about cooperation with companies, public and private institutions about the importance of the XI Alumni-Career Exhibition in attracting ASOIU students and alumni to intern and work.

During the event, the Rector traditionally answered the questions of students who joined online and presented in the hall. He touched upon the shortcomings, commented on them and made suggestions, and gave instructions on how to implement the issues that need to be resolved. The Rector especially thanked the students for their active participation in the "Open Microphone" and noted that together we would achieve a further increase in the level of education and teaching at our university.
