On December 15, the Rector of Istanbul University Gedik, Professor Ahmet Kesik, met with the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli.

At a meeting held within the framework of cooperation, the rectors of the two universities signed a Protocol of Cooperation. According to the new cooperation protocol signed at ASOIU, the two universities agreed on joint activities within the framework of the Erasmus exchange program, organizing the exchange of teachers and students in the field of artificial intelligence, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics and robotics engineering, as well as conducting joint research and other issues.

At the meeting, it was also decided to create opportunities for ASOIU students to undergo internship at the Neftchala Power Plant, which, like Istanbul Gedik University, is part of Gedik Holding, and at a welding enterprise in Baku, as well as to organize certified welding training for students.
