On December 28, a new chairman of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) was appointed. In this regard, an event was held with the ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev, Vice-Rector for General Affairs Elnur Ismayilov, secretary of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union (ASYOU) Ordukhan Gahramanzade, teachers and students.

Welcoming the event participants on behalf of the Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, Associate Professor Ata Babayev wished success to the new Chairman of the Student Youth Organization. After the report of the former Chairman of the University's Student Youth Organization, Mugaddas Azizade, the newly elected Chairman, a third-year student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Control of ASOIU, Rufat Rustamov, told about the plans and future goals and thanked the teachers and classmates for their trust.

Speaking at the event, the Secretary of the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union (ASYOU), Ordukhan Gahramanzadeh, talked about the role of youth, especially students, in our society and stressed the importance of cooperation between universities and student youth organizations.
