An information event was held on acquiring a well-known American venture company of the startup Nextsale, a graduate of the "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Citizens Service and Social Innovations, Selcuk Bayraktar, Technical Director of Baykar and Chairman of the Board of Technofest, Rovshan Rustamov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Mammad Karim, representative of the Centre for Incubation & Business Acceleration, rectors of higher educational institutions, Orkhan Hajiyev, founder of the Nextsale startup, heads of organizations working in the field of technology and IT, startup founders and others.
During the presentation of the startup Nextsale, it was stated that the idea was mainly to develop design solutions for e-commerce sites, increase sales and social trust, collect SMS and phone numbers. It was noted that the company initially launched the site as an application showing what previous users did with new visitors (social proof), but later its functions were finalized, and the application turned into a full-fledged conversion platform. Thus, Nextsale began offering coupon codes through pop-ups, collecting information necessary for marketing - names, email addresses, mobile numbers of site visitors, which allowed the startup to increase sales.
Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli, also took part in the event, during which attention was paid to the development of startup ecosystems in universities and the creation of incubation centres, support for innovations in education. At the same time, issues of supporting students in the educational process to develop innovative ideas, direction them in discoveries and inventions, which play an essential role in the technological development of our country, were discussed.
Nextsale startup was founded in 2018. Startup of 2020, winner of several local and international awards Nextsale received its first investment at the seed investment stage from SUP VC and became a resident of the INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center. The startup is also an alumnus of Turkey's ITU Magnet Acceleration Program.
The startup team is currently working on a new product, Uvodo, an e-commerce platform that anyone who wants to sell online can have on their server.
