On February 17, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli, met with US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer Richard Pinkham and the delegation.

Welcoming the guests, Rector, Professor M. Babanli, informed about the education at ASOIU, international relations, accredited and English-language specialities, green energy projects and the work done at the university. Emphasizing the importance of further expanding relations with US universities, especially research-oriented - cooperation in artificial intelligence and IT, the implementation of joint start-up projects, Rector M. Babanli noted that several new projects in artificial intelligence are planned for the next academic year, and also attracting foreign professors.

Expressing satisfaction with his stay at ASOIU, R. Pinkham spoke about the current educational programs of the embassy. He stressed their interest in implementing projects that will allow the exchange of students and teachers, developing startups and projects related to artificial intelligence, and further developing cooperation.

Then, implementing new projects in education and developing practical cooperation were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, guests were presented with souvenirs.
