On March 10, a working meeting was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) with Bill Glue, Director of Aston University's Professional Engineering Centre and a delegation.

The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafik Jamalov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Lyatafat Gardashova, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economy, the British Council and guests.

During the meeting between ASOIU and Aston University, which discussed the project of a double diploma for obtaining a master's degree, the prospects and further issues of teaching at ASOIU from the new academic year of the speciality "Renewable and Sustainable Energy" were discussed. In addition, the participants exchanged views on the curriculum, teaching structure and programs of the new speciality.

It should be noted that from the 2022/2023 academic year, within the framework of the double degree project with Aston University, ASOIU plans to accept students for the new speciality "Renewable and Sustainable Energy" at the master's level. 40 masters will study in this speciality in English.
