The programming Hackathon held at UFAZ is over

On March 11, the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ), functioning under the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), hosted the awarding ceremony for the winners of the #UFAZHackathon2022 competition organized among students.

The event was attended by UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazekh Askerov, Head of the Hackathon Scientific Committee Samer El Zant, Tabaterra representative Tufan Kan, Agrarian Innovation Center representative Nigar Khydyrova, Azintelecom representative Heydar Shukurov, students and media representatives.

During their speeches, the event participants highly appreciated the knowledge and skills of students shown at the competition and wished them success.

The winning teams (Perihelion - 1st place, Movement - 2nd place and Enigma - 3rd place) were awarded 3500 AZN, 2500 AZN and 1500 AZN, respectively, and other special awards from sponsors.

At the initial stage, 49 teams registered to participate, and 28 were selected for the competition dedicated to solving problems in agriculture, technology, environment, finance, health and water management. For 2 days, participants, with a team of 3 members, performed programming tasks on the given topics with the help of invited mentors from different companies. At the end of the competition, 24 teams presented their results to the jury and were evaluated. To recall, the #UFAZHackathon2022 competition was held with the support of Pasha Bank, Tabaterra, Kibrit Tech, Azintelecom, Azercosmos and the Agrarian Innovation Center.
