On April 4, a meeting was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) with the Cambridge Forum for Central Asia Director, Professor of the University of Cambridge Montu Saxena, and the delegation.
The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Lyatafat Gardashova and Head of the Sector of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education Muzhdat Hasanov.
Professor Montu Saxena said that he was pleased to be at ASOIU and expressed his interest in cooperation with ASOIU in various fields within the framework of the University of Cambridge, including the Cavendish Laboratory.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between ASOIU and the University of Cambridge, particularly applying their experience in ASOIU. At the same time, the meeting discussed the joint work of universities in preparing doctoral students, dual supervision of dissertations and other topics. It was also discussed and agreed on the continuation of education of ASOIU students in English-speaking specialities at the University of Cambridge on the state line, upcoming tasks and promising programs in other areas.
