On April 11, the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted a seminar on "Countering Cyber Threats Nowadays", organized by the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity Platforms.

The seminar was attended by the founder of the Cybersecurity Platform, Shahin Aliyev, the company's delegation - Ali Ganiev, Azer Abdullayev, Farid Huseynli, Yalchin Mammadli, as well as employees of the IT department of the university, academic staff and students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Management (ITMF).

Muqaddas Azizzadeh, Head of the section of IT Department, spoke about the seminar and informed the participants that the topics discussed are relevant today.

Opening the seminar, Sh. Aliyev spoke about the importance of cybersecurity in the modern world and the need to educate young people studying in the IT field.

The seminar was devoted to information security. It was told about the biggest Cyber Attacks in the world and how to deal with them, and a presentation was made on the types of Cyber Attacks and how to prevent them.

At the end of the interactive seminar, students' questions were answered.
