On April 12, at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), an audition of artistic amateur collectives was held as part of preparations for the festival of artistic creativity among university students.

The festival, dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, is held by the joint decision of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republican Committee of Free Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Education Workers.

Students' performances were evaluated by People's Artist Mubariz Tagiyev, People's Artist Tarana Muradova, Honored Art Worker Baba Veziroglu and other prominent artists.

Students performed various dances, poems, and musical compositions at the concert organized by the Student Trade Union Committee of ASOIU. The Ganjlik University Song and Dance Ensemble also performed the dances Laçın, Qazaxı xalq rəqsi, Naz eləmə and Məhsul rəqsi. At the end, the students sang the song "Yasha Azərbaycan".

It should be noted that the final concert of the festival winners will take place on May 6.
