Cooperation between the universities of Azerbaijan and the leading universities of Malaysia is expanding. Thus, over the past few weeks, several universities in our country have held various meetings with educational institutions in Malaysia in video conferences and have taken the first steps to develop bilateral cooperation.
One of such meetings with higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan took place on April 7 between representatives of the highly influential not only in Malaysia but also in the vast region of Southeast Asia, the prestigious PETRONAS University of Technology (UTP) and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). At the meeting held with delegations from both universities, cooperation issues were discussed, including the exchange of experience and students, the organization of short-term and long-term business trips for researchers, and the implementation of joint research projects. They also exchanged views on the practical organization of the agenda for the visit of the UTP delegation to Azerbaijan in the coming weeks. During the meeting, the ASOIU team was headed by Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafik Jamalov, and the UTP delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Mohamed Mutalib.
