On May 6, the final concert of the creative contest-festival dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held among students of higher educational institutions by a joint decision of the Ministry of Education and the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov, Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Sattar Mohbaliyev, heads of higher educational institutions, students and other guests.
First, the Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, Sattar Mokhbaliyev, spoke about national leader Heydar Aliyev's unique role in developing Azerbaijani youth and the work done to build our independent state.
Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov spoke about the great leader Heydar Aliyev's attention and concern for education and youth in Azerbaijan, wished the students success in their studies and future work, and congratulated all the participants.
Various musical and dance numbers and poems performed by students of higher educational institutions were performed at the concert. Dance numbers performed by the Ganjlik Song and Dance Ensemble of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) were demonstrated, and talented students read poems.
It should be noted that the purpose of the art competition festival is to educate students in the spirit of national patriotism, respect for our culture, art, and national traditions, increase the artistic and aesthetic level of students, promote a cultural lifestyle, identify talented youth in various types of art and our culture, support the development of their abilities. In total, 28 higher educational institutions participated in the art competition festival.
