Regular meeting of the Academic Board is held at ASOIU

On May 25, a regular meeting of the Academic Board was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). First, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, informed the Board members about the issues on the agenda.

After the approval of the agenda, the annual report of the Executive Director of UFAZ, Associate Professor Vazekh Askerov, was heard. Salman Salmanov, Director of the University Information Technologies Department, also reported the department's annual activities and informed the board members about priority projects. Professor Rauf Aliyarov made a report on the yearly activities of the Scientific-Research Institute, "Geotechnological Problems of Oil, Gas and Chemistry", and spoke about current and prospective projects and research work.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Lyatafat Gardashova, announced the approval of doctoral and dissertation topics for the PhD program. According to the agenda, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, gave information on changes to the block of elective subjects in some specializations of the speciality "Oil and Gas Engineering" at the master's level, as well as on the creation and approval of the staff of the "Laboratory Equipment Maintenance Center" at the Instrument Engineering Department.

Then, speaking about the educational policy of the university, the work done, innovations and shortcomings, Professor M.Babanli gave detailed information on the state of preparation for the summer examination session of the 2021/2022 academic year, on the analysis of the annual activities of the departments (implementation of roadmaps) and the preparation of roadmaps for the new academic year. Speaking about the projects implemented at ASOIU, Rector Professor M.Babanli also informed the Board members about the admission plan for the 2022/2023 academic year and touched upon the long-term goals.

After discussing the agenda items at the meeting of the Academic Board and making unanimous decisions, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, made comments and suggestions on all issues and gave instructions on the upcoming work and future goals.
