Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) students successfully participated in the 1st Open International Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, held by the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
In total, five students of the Faculty of Oil-mechanics, Faculty of Information Technologies and Management of ASOIU took part in the online Olympiad, which took place on May 10-14. Tahir Suleymanov, Deputy Dean of the Oil-mechanics Faculty of ASOIU, who mentored ASOIU students and students who showed high results in the Olympiad consisting of 3 sections, was awarded certificates by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. One student, Nigar Bagirova, was awarded a diploma of the III degree in the individual competition of the Olympiad.
It should be noted that the international Olympiad, which was attended by 225 students from 71 universities in 15 different countries, was held in two forms, individual and team competitions. According to the rules of the Olympiad, in the individual competition, eight problems must be solved in 4 hours. In the team competition, a group of 5 participants must solve five problems in 1 hour.
