ASOIU teams participating in the “Technofest Azerbaijan” festival are awarded

On June 3, at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), a meeting was held with the "Technofest Azerbaijan" participants of the university.

The event started with the performance of the National Anthem and a minute of silence in memory of the Patriotic War martyrs.

At the beginning of the event, a video was shown about the participation of ASOIU teams in Teknofest.

Elviz Ismayilov, Head of the ASOIU working group on the Technofest Azerbaijan, spoke about the projects of the ASOIU teams at the spectacular festival that reflects the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood.

Then the teams participating in the Technofest Azerbaijan festival were invited to the stage and awarded gifts. Further, videos were shown about the groups' projects; first, that took second and then first place. The participants of these teams also were presented with gifts.

At the end of the event, ASOIU Rector, Professor M.Babanli, congratulated all the teams participating in the Technofest Azerbaijan festival. Noting that the successful participation of ASOIU teams in the festival became possible thanks to the start-up movement that started in the university in 2015, Rector M. Babanli invited the finalists of the prestigious international festival to the Acceleration Center established at the university. Noting that the winning teams at the Acceleration Center will be provided with all the necessary conditions to improve their projects, Rector M. Babanli said that ASOIU is ready to support students in patenting projects. Touching upon the issues of participation of the ASOIU faculties teams represented at Technofest Azerbaijan, Rector M. Babanli emphasized the importance of motivating students to develop innovative projects faculties' with a low level of participation in the festival. Each team that won first and second places at the Technofest Azerbaijan festival received cash prizes of AZN 5,000 and AZN 3,000, respectively, to invest in improving their projects.
