The closing ceremony of the educational project CODE FOR FUTURE - ASOIU is held

On June 16, the closing ceremony of the educational project "Algorithmics" ("CODE FOR FUTURE" - ASOIU) was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The event was attended by Minister of Education Emin Amrullaev, Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, representatives of the Ministry of Education, academic staff and students.

First, a video review of the IT Algorithms courses was shown at the event, and the participants were informed about the project. It was noted that the educational project "CODE FOR FUTURE", initiated by the Ministry of Education, started on February 15 at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. IT (Bootcamp) courses were held in the spring semester of the 2021/2022 academic year at ASOIU as part of a project implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Courses with the participation of 3rd and 4th-year students of ASOIU's undergraduate technical specialities were held under the "Web Development" and "System Administration" programs. 298 students took part in the project.

ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, greeted the guests and spoke about the importance of the project for students. The Rector, Professor M. Babanli, said that when the courses started, more than 700 students applied, 298 received the right to participate in the project, and 260 students had already successfully completed the course.

Noting that the main task of the university is to provide students with higher education and train qualified engineers, Professor Mustafa Babanli said that along with knowledge in the specialities, students should have a high level of IT knowledge. He added that the current project that covers "Web Development" and "System Administration" is significant for students in this regard and will positively impact their future activities. Rector, Professor M. Babanli thanked the Ministry of Education for participating in such an innovative project and supporting ASOIU and congratulated all the winning students.

During his speech, the Minister of Education Emin Amrullaev emphasized that in our country, special attention is paid to the comprehensive development, healthy and educated formation of youth. The minister said that now the primary condition is to compete in the world, including in Azerbaijan, knowledge is the key to a successful result, and, of course, by focusing on such projects, we help students better adapt to the current market economy and requirements.

Minister Emin Amrullaev also said that to become a competent engineer, each student, along with technical and mathematical knowledge, must have sufficient expertise in the field of IT, as well as be able to adapt to rapidly changing technological changes promptly. The minister also congratulated the students who successfully completed the course and the administration of the university.

A video presentation was made by Zeynal Khydyrov, system administration course trainer, and Sevda Huseynova, web development course trainer. They shared their pleasant impressions and noted that the hardworking students attended the courses with great interest.

Then Minister of Education Emin Amrullaev, Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, handed certificates to students who successfully completed "IT Algorithms" courses.

The event continued with a concert program.
