On August 24, the Rector of the South Kazakhstan State University Kozhamzharova Dariya Perneshovna met with the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli.
The meeting held at ASOIU was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, Iskakova Aigul Toleutaevna and Associate Professor Rafik Jamalov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of ASOIU.
It should be noted that the guests arrived as part of the delegation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his official visit to our country.
The Rector, Professor M. Babanli, said he was glad to welcome the guests within the university's walls and gave detailed information about ASOIU. Noting that teaching at the university is conducted in 3 languages, the Rector spoke about the educational process, international relations, teaching in English, international students of the university and possible areas of cooperation. In addition, Rector M. Babanli, who spoke about the activities of the HPC Center, the IT Academy and the Startup Center at the university, noted the importance of a double degree, joint scientific leadership and the exchange of teachers and students.
Rector of Kazakhstan State University Kozhamzharova Dariya Perneshovna expressed satisfaction with her stay at ASOIU, as one of the leading higher education institutions that train personnel for the oil industry, and expressed interest in cooperation with this university.
Informing in detail about the headed university, the guest spoke about the double degree program, the importance of implementing joint scientific and educational projects, as well as the work to be done in the direction of developing cooperation.
At the meeting, Rector Kozhamzharova Dariya Perneshovna noted that South Kazakhstan State University would soon celebrate its 80th anniversary and invited the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, to the anniversary event.
As a result of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the parties.
