UFAZ holds Orientation Day for new students

On September 9, the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) hosted an Orientation Day with bachelor students admitted to UFAZ for the 2022/2023 academic year.

UFAZ Director Vazeh Askarov greeted the participants, congratulated them on becoming UFAZ students, and wished them luck. He invited them to be active and benefit from the university's opportunities.

UFAZ Secretary General  Elizaveta Bydanova noted that ASOIU and the University of Strasbourg jointly manage UFAZ. She informed students about the advantages that the University of Strasbourg provides for students.

Head of the Education Department and Head of the Francophone Career Center of UFAZ, Latifa Nasibova, provided comprehensive information about the teaching process, internal rules, faculty, practical and theoretical courses, usage of laboratories, evaluation and exams at UFAZ. She informed the participants about the newly established career centre's activities in developing students' knowledge and skills.

Later, the coordinators of various specialities informed the students about the educational programs.

In the end, the members of the UFAZ Student Council informed the newly admitted students about student clubs, various associations and events that take place at the university. A curator will be assigned to each newly enrolled student from the senior students of UFAZ. The curators will guide the newcomers in their first year to get to know the university and help them to solve the challenges they encounter faster, thus to adapt more quickly.
