On September 23, an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Board was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). At the meeting, Lev Eppelbaum, a well-known ASOIU graduate in the world scientific community, professor at the Tel Aviv University of Israel, was awarded the ASOIU Honorary Professor Diploma.

First, the Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, informed the reason for holding an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Board and about the only issue on the agenda - awarding Professor Lev Eppelbaum the ASOIU Honorary Professor Diploma. Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, recalling that Lev Eppelbaum was awarded the title of honorary professor by the decision taken at the meeting of the Academic Board of ASOIU on October 1, 2020, added that the professor has long deserved this title and is one of the honoured graduates of the university.

At the meeting, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Latafat Gardashova, gave extensive information about the life path and work of Lev Eppelbaum and his scientific activities.

Then, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, presented the guest with the diploma of honorary professor of ASOIU and congratulated him on his behalf and the university's academic staff.

Lev Eppelbaum noted that ASOIU, from which he graduated, has always been dear to him and expressed gratitude to Professor Mustafa Babanli and the members of the Academic Board for the attention and high trust shown to him.

Then Professor Lev Eppelbaum delivered an extensive report and answered the board members' questions.
