ASOIU holds first meeting of the Academic Board in 2022-2023 academic year

On October 5, the first meeting of the Academic Board of the 2022-2023 academic year was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Before announcing the agenda items, ASOIU Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated the academic staff on 5th October International Teacher's Day, wishing them success in their professional activities.

Then, according to tradition, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, congratulated four employees of the university - professors Tofik Ahmedov, Musavar Musayev, director of AzII e-Book House Salahat Mahmudova and Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Narmina Aliyeva - on the anniversary, and wished them long life and good health.

At the meeting of the Academic Board on the completion of the 2021-2022 academic year and the tasks facing the staff in the new academic year, on the completion of student admission to ASOIU in 2022 at the undergraduate level (including UFAZ and college), Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, further Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Latafat Gardashova, made a report on the level of education of the master's degree in the 2021-2022 academic year and the results of admission to the master's degree in the 2022-2023 academic year. Associate Professor Nigar Ismailova provided extensive information about HORIZON EUROPE projects in which ASOIU is a partner.

The Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, provided extensive information on the status of work on accreditation and upcoming tasks, the composition and preliminary result of the commission related to the rating (QS, THE, etc.), on the initiation of training on the transfer of the protocol service to electronic document management and other essential topics, as well as spoke about the necessary steps to be taken towards improving the quality of science and teaching.

At the meeting of the Academic Board, after discussing the issues on the agenda, the board members made unanimous decisions. The Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, expressed his comments and suggestions on all issues and instructions on the upcoming work.
