On October 8, the next "Open Microphone" was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Along with the students and faculty who attended the assembly hall, ''Open Microphone'' was also broadcast live on the university's Facebook page, and hundreds of students joined the event online.
Speaking about the level of preparation for the 2022-2023 academic year, the Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, talked about the work done at the university to provide high-level education and gave information on assessing students' knowledge, preparing graduation theses and improving their qualifications during the last semester. Informing about the admission of the 2022-2023 academic year, Rector Professor Mustafa Babanli spoke about the specialities in demand at ASOIU in this academic year. He noted that 3,507 applicants for the bachelor's degree had chosen this university. It was pointed out that about 30 per cent of students who scored above 600 chose ASOIU. Rector, Professor M.Babanli, who gave information about the Unibook system and new projects related to education, stressed that ASOIU had created all conditions for students to get a good education.
Then, the students who entered ASOIU with the highest scores in the 2022-2023 academic year were invited to the stage and awarded. The Rector, Professor M. Babanli, presented them with gifts. Also, at the Open Microphone, following the results of the examination session of the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, the winners of the nomination "Best Group in Educational Courses" were awarded. Among the groups of the 1st course, the 1st place was taken by group No. 692.21E of the Faculty of Information Technology and Control. Groups 632.20E and 693.19 took first place among the 2nd and 3rd courses. Each winning group was awarded a prize of 2,000 manats. The Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, having granted the group representatives, congratulated all the students of the group and wished them new successes.
In the "open microphone", were given answers to questions of interest to students. Rector M. Babanli also commented on the shortcomings and instructed on implementing issues that must be addressed.
