On October 18, the Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli, and the delegation, at the invitation of the Rector of the Middle East Technical University (METU), Professor Mustafa Vershan Kök, visited this university. At the meeting of both universities' rectors, the current state and prospects of the existing bilateral relations between the universities headed by them were discussed. In particular, issues of strengthening bilateral ties and training personnel in renewable energy, cybersecurity and the oil and gas industry were discussed.

On November 3-5, Baku will host an international scientific conference organised by METU and ASOIU, "ThEOR 2022-Thermal Methods for Enhanced Oil Recovery", reports from which will be published in the Web of Science index database. During the meeting, the rectors extensively discussed the organisational issues of the conference.
