ASOIU takes part as a partner in the IELTS exam promotion agreement

On October 28, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Education Development Foundation, the Education Quality Assurance Agency and higher educational institutions "On the promotion of scientific and pedagogical staff of universities and students to pass the IELTS exam."

The project is implemented with the support of the Education Development Foundation, the Education Quality Assurance Agency and the British Council. As part of the project, up to 300 teachers and students who have passed the IELTS exam and scored high will be able to receive fees for these exams, which the Education Development Fund will reimburse.

Rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafik Jamalov and Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Ulviya Abbasova also took part in the event, that is held with the participation of 6 higher educational institutions. The Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, spoke about the high level of teaching English at ASOIU. He noted that English language courses for students and teachers were held at the university within the framework of cooperation with the British Council, high results were achieved, and today ASOIU has the opportunity to apply its experience in this area.

At the event, it was noted that the main goal is to create favourable conditions for mastering the English language by members of the university academic staff and students, encouraging them to take the IELTS exam and, thus, use the knowledge and skills acquired by our compatriots, international experience and current educational opportunities to contribute to the development of our country.
